Word .docx opens in Microsoft Word and can be uploaded to Google Docs. .txt is plain text; .md adds Markdown headings. No document is uploaded automatically.

When to use this template

Use an agenda before a meeting to agree on what needs discussion. A useful agenda names the outcome, the people needed and the decisions to make. If a topic only needs an update, share it before the call and use the meeting for questions or decisions.

Make it useful for your meeting

  1. 1. Write the outcome first

Replace a broad goal such as project update with a decision people can finish: agree on the next milestone and its owner. Keep unrelated topics for another meeting.

  2. 2. Give each topic a purpose

Mark whether an item is for information, discussion or a decision. Name the person leading it and link any reading participants need beforehand.

  3. 3. Fit the work into the time

Treat the suggested time boxes as editable starting points. Put the hardest decision early and leave time to confirm actions. Remove topics that cannot fit.

  4. 4. Share the agenda before the call

Send the document through your normal calendar or team channel. Ask participants to add missing context. After the meeting, record decisions and actions in the minutes.

Common questions

What belongs in a meeting agenda?

Include the goal, date, attendees, preparation, topics and time available. Add an owner for each topic and make the expected decisions clear. Finish with space to confirm actions.

Can I use this agenda in Word or Google Docs?

Yes. Download Word .docx for a real Word document, or upload that file to Google Drive and open it with Google Docs. You can also copy the text or download Markdown. No cloud document is created automatically.

Which template should I use for a regular team meeting?

The editor includes a weekly team meeting outline with progress, blockers and commitments. Use the general agenda for a meeting with a different purpose, or choose a kickoff, discovery call or other outline.

Your document stays in this tab. Copy or download it before leaving. The editor does not record a call, send your notes or save them to an account.
